Brief Profile

Australian people are Australian born people who enumerated in North America and constitute the most populated people group in Australia.

They descended from the peoples of the British Isles – the Cornish, English, Irish, Manx, Scottish, and Welsh. They historically identify most closely with peoples of British descent. As a result, their identity draws on a multicultural, European and British cultural heritage.

Australian tend to blend in with other North Americans and mix with them relationally. However, they would identify themselves with originating from the continent of Australia, sharing a common history, culture, and language (Australian English).

Australian people have various religions and spiritual beliefs. Many are non-religious but at least twenty percent would identify themselves as Christian.

Prayer Points

  • Pray that the Lord will raise up evangelical Australians to engage the least reached peoples in North America and beyond.
  • Pray that the Holy Spirit will open the hearts of non-religious Australians toward Christians so that they will be receptive to the Gospel and experience a personal relationship with a living God.
  • Pray that evangelical Australian Christians will share the message and love of Christ through both deed and word among non-religious Australians.
