Brief Profile
Anglo-Canadians refers to English-speaking, or Anglophone, Canadians of any ethnic origin; it is used primarily in contrast with French Canadians. Canada is an officially bilingual state, with English and French official language communities.
Although many Anglo-Canadians have strong historical roots traceable to England or other parts of the British Isles. However, they as whole belong to a multitude of ethnic backgrounds. A few ethnic backgrounds include English, Scottish, Irish, and German.
They adhere to Protestantism, Roman Catholicism, and a variety of other religious beliefs. However, many are non-religious, living more a secular lifestyle. They represent a large diversity of beliefs that makes it exceedingly difficult to accurately portray religion.
